Usually you no longer have the source file (Word or similar), which is exactly why editing text straight on the PDF becomes necessary. When this tool ships it will work like the rest of fetchio.io: 100% in your browser, with no upload to any server and no watermarks. Coming soon: we’re polishing in-PDF text editing so it’s reliable before opening it to everyone.

No. Like our other tools, editing will happen inside your browser and the document will never leave your device.
The goal is to allow targeted fixes (typos, dates, amounts). Scanned PDFs are images, so they don’t contain editable text as such.
